What is the Teacher Development Network?
The Teacher Development Network is a new working party for those involved in Initial Teacher Training & Education, the Early Career Entitlement and wider teacher development across our region. The purpose of the network is to help shape the support for teachers from the beginning of their initial teacher training through to their fifth year in the profession. Network meetings will be informed by key issues within ITTE, ECT induction and the development and retention of excellent teachers.
What to expect
Meetings will include:
Key updates from lead partners including recruitment numbers from ITTE, challenges and opportunities across the sector, trends in teacher induction and latest updates from the Early Career Training Programme.
Guest speakers covering local and national issues.
Group discussion and networking opportunities including time to identify key priorities & challenges, create sub groups and share best practice.
